NCFIT: FAQ

NCMETCON?

This program definitely has the "NCFIT signature" weaved throughout. Through program tracking and analysis, NCFIT  monitors trends to ensure that the programming stays on target and doesn't place any unwanted biases in one direction.

WHAT MAKES NCFIT STAND OUT FROM OTHERS?

Overall, workouts trend slightly longer and with a slightly higher volume. Most workouts will be in the 10-25 minute range. Some workouts will be in the sub-10 domain but those days will always have enough meat on the bone for our members so they get their money's worth. There will be more AMRAP and EMOM style workouts than in most "traditional" programs, while still incorporating plenty "For Time" workouts. This subtle bias is not noticeable unless you do the math over the course of the year.

WHAT ARE NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NCMETCON AND "TRADITIONAL PROGRAMMING"?

1) Single modality workouts (such as 5k run, 1k row, ...) are never programmed alone. While these workouts have value, they will often be paired with other work, show up as a skill/strength session, or be "hidden" in a workout. This is an effective way to test these modalities and it makes for a better athlete experience.
2) Once a week or every other week, we try to incorporate Partner Workouts. These workouts are a great way to build community, reduce the workout stress for athletes and get people working together.
